bringing it back out

My husband bought me all diaper making materials and yet there it sits. Unused and not made into diapers. I can''t figure out why I all of a sudden stopped but tonight the sewing machine comes back out and I am going to make something. Diaper? Crib sheet? Shirts for the girls? Not sure, but I really love sewing and maybe it will give me that "away" time I think my brain needs. Calvin is hunting and the girls will be in bed, so instead of computer time or watching late night TV I will be sewing. Or glueing. I have some wipe cases that need prettied up! Pics later or tomorrow!

The effort of Friendships

Friendship: 1. the state of being a friend; association as friends
2. friendly feeling or disposition.

I tend to let things slip over and just push it off, but I am thinking I am sick of "friendships". At what point do these friendships become acquaintances?

Acquaintance: 1. a person known to one, but usually not a close friend.

Sometimes I feel like I am a convience, someone to rely on when everyone else is busy. Anything that benifits the other person I can then be involved in, but for the benifit of just being friends...not usually.

Not sure what to name this post.

Well I have not kept up on my promise of more posts! I feel like I am always busy and when I do have time to get on the internet I never have anything to really say. So here I sit at my mothers house because our water will be off (again) tomorrow and I thought it easier to stay here, and thinking I really need to make a post, but about what? We will start with life is going good. Calvin has been hunting and working and spending time with the family. Brianna is still love school (most days) and growing up so fast. Addisyn is getting such the personallity and a climber. And I am loving my life, being mother, wife, and care taker. Life seems to have some stress, but hey that IS life. On another note, Calvin and I have decided to try for another baby. Boy or girl, as long as it's healthy, we couldn't be happier. This is the first cycle and I will test in 2 weeks or so. We are not stressing over it this time, like I seemed to do with Addisyn. I don't know what it is about trying to concieve that seems to get me stressed, after all this is not MY plan. God is great.

I leave you with this message that my husband has sent to me daily. Thank the Lord for a blessed beautiful day and remember Jesus loves you.

Flick Friday

February Releases.

Changeling-Angelina Jolie was phemomenal in this flick. Based on a true story about a child that disappears from his home and months later authority returns "him" to his mother (Angelina Jolie). She is furious at the return beacause it not her son. They push it on her that he surely is, but she still continues her search for her son.

Madagascar 2:Escape to Africa- I loved the first Madagascar, so when a second was released, it was a must see. And what a cute little movie. They begin on the island and build a craft to get to New York; home. They don't quite make it to New York, but their adventure to try is eventful and fun to watch!

Nights in Rodanth- A love story. A stubborn couple, refusing to evacuate, bed together in cover of a hurricane and fall in love. Richard Gere plays a doctor and Diane Ladd an inkeeper. When Paul (Richard) has to leave for other matters, the two keep in touch with sappy love letters. How romantic!

Quarintine- Everyone loves low-budget. A camera crew wants to follow a fireman and when a call comes in, they don't have an idea what they are getting into. They get to the apartment complex, I think is the area they were at, and people are like turning crazy from a rabies like infection. While it was not a great horror movie, I did watch all of it! Not something I would reccomend, but if you are a movie geek you will probably watch it, as I am!

Sex Drive- Similar to all of the Road Trip movies, a senior in highschool who happens to be a virgin, is on a quest to change just that. His virginity. He finds Mrs. Tasty online and begins his journey to meet her, accomanied by 2 of his friends. They happen apon an Amish community where a mechanic helps them just in time with car troubles. It's funny, and I thought it was pretty good.

Soul Men- I love any movies with Samuel L. Jackson, so this one I had to see as well. It's about a band that broke up and when one of them dies, the other two get back together for a tribute. But it's not as easy as it sounds, and there are ups and down of the regrouping. That's about all I can say about this movie, but it was one I enjoyed watching.

The Hauting of Molly Hartley- What this movie boils down to is a teenager whoes mothers tried to kill her, finds out that her mothers goal of the attempted murder was to break the pack with the devil. the teen experiences weird dreams and she believes it's all linked to her mother and the fact that her mother is insane. Is she insane also?

The Secret Life of Bees- Dakota Fanning rocks this film. Along with Queen Latifah and Jennifer Hudson. Based in 1964, a young white girl (Dakota Fanning) run away from her home because of her father and along side is a black housekeeper. The find refuge with Queen Latifah who is in the business of honey and Lilly (Fanning) through beekeeping learns values and life lessons. I wish I would have read the book first, I hear it was a good one. Since I enjoyed the movie, I assume the book would have been even better. Since that's how it usually goes.

W. - Yes I watched it, and I don't remember much about it. I remember that it is around the phase of the Iraq war, but it was nothing memorable.

Zach and Miri Make a Porno- Very funny, not for children, I love Seth Rogan. I have watched this movie a few times and everytime is just as funny as the first. Room mates down on their luck decide that a porno would get them the money needed to get them back on their feet. After failed attemps to get a location, they decide to film at the coffee shop they work in. After getting friends together, and a "theme" the filming begins and the movie gets interesting. If you have not seen this, watch it. As long as you get along with raunchty, sex, and humor movies.

Flick Friday

I have found a list of movies released this year and since I have seen so many, I am going to take a few posts and tell you what ones I liked, and what I didn't like and maybe why. I will do my best to NOT give anything away, but please forgive me if some I really like I will begin to blabber and spoils come out.

1.6.09

Pineapple Express- While many poeple like this, others did not and I am in that catagory. I will say it had funny scenes, but the whole stoner story was just not me. Something about it just was not me.

Righteous Kill- I am a big fan of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino and this was a must see for me. They play detectives that are working on a case of a serial killer. It's a thriller, and that's really my style. It's something if you haven't yet, you need to see.

1.13.09

Mirrors- Awesome. I love a good ghostly tale, and this fits the role perfectly. This man goes to work as a security guard at a store or motel, dont remember exactly, and starts seeing things in the million mirros hanging all over the building. Oh and it is a building that was in a fire also. If that matters, I dont remember haha. It's a good spook! Check it out.

My best friends girl- Dane Cook is hillarious. I love him in movies and as a stand up comedian, so his role in My Best friends girl is equally enjoyable to all other performances he has done. He is a like a backup plan I guess to other men. He goes on dates with women in hopes of the date being so bad that they return to their ex-boyfriends. I would reccomend this movie.

1.20.09

Igor- I did not get a chance to watch this, but Brianna did watch it a handful of times in 2 days so I would say to those who have children, "your children will enjoy it".

Saw V- All of the Saw movies have been equally good. It is surprising to have a series so interesting want to watch all of them. That just does not happen very often. If you have liked the other Saw movies, this one you must also see.

1.27.09

Lakeview Terrance- A couple moves in to a, what seems to be, quite, pleasent neighborhood. A freaky neighbor who happens to be a cop lives next door. The fact that the couple is a Cacasin and African american does not sit well with the African American neighbor/cop. The cop (Samuel L. Jackson) becomes an annoyance in hopes of moving the couple out because their mix relationship is a bad influence on his children. Good clip! "What could be safer than living next to a cop? "

Cute, right? It is a song that my daughter Brianna has learned in preschool. And busy busy is how I have felt for days now. Thus why you have not seen any new posts.
